We are all facing a world that is very different than it was just several weeks ago. During this challenging time, though, the resilience of the Hofstra Law community shines through. All of us at Hofstra Law are working hard from home to maintain the very best educational experience and full range of student services that we can provide.
As you can imagine, there is great anxiety among our students. They worry about their job prospects after law school, but also about their current financial challenges and struggles with life’s basic needs. To help them, we are establishing a Student Emergency Fund to support students who have immediate financial needs during this crisis.
We are proud to say this effort has been initiated by our faculty, who, along with our administrators and alumni, have to date donated more than $39,000.
If you are in a position to help, we ask you to consider participating in this important community endeavor.
Contributions can also be made by check made out to “Hofstra University-Maurice A. Deane School of Law” and mailed to the Office of External Relations, 121 Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY 11549. Please just add a note that it is for the Law School’s Student Emergency Fund.
This effort is truly a wonderful example of our dedicated and committed Hofstra Law community coming together, and we are so very proud to be a part of it. We will get through this together!
